V and I loved our trip to iceland so we’ve watched the financial crisis hit there so brutally with a mix of sadness and bewilderment. The nation that seemed so strong and self confident just two years ago has ended up with a shattered economy and significant questions about its long term prospects. FWIW, in completely self-serving terms, the crisis hasn’t made a trip to the blue lagoon any cheaper for us north americans.
